Intrapersonal
Intrapersonal factors affect decisions in a way that is not seen by the public with the naked eye, such as the factors that fall under the categories of Macro, Community and Interpersonal. Because of this, it is more difficult to see the effects that the changes in these behaviors have on decision making. Throughout the recent years, though, the number of research studies relating to intrapersonal factors has drastically increased. Previous models relating to behavior change have been updated (such as the Health Belief Model, one of the earliest models for change) due to the findings of these studies. It has been found that the intrapersonal factors have some of the greatest impact on implementing, and obtaining, successful change in an individual.
